Most, if not all of the information will be provided directly from you. We do collect some personal data form external sources, RightMove for example provides contact details for enquiries on properties via their website for us to contact.

If some of this data is not provided, this may lead aspects of the site not working correctly or restriction of access to services available.

When you enquire about one of our services we keep a record of the requests, and make note of the discussions we have had in order to ensure we are providing the best possible experience with Instinct Properties. We only retain your personal data for as long as we need in order to comply with our obligations under The Property Ombudsman Code of Practice and rules set by HMRC.

  • 18 Months for any personal data not related to any other category listed below.
  • Five Years for any and all data relating to obligations under Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Six Years for any and all data related to property transactions (E.g. an offer)
  • Seven years for any and all data related to any financial transactions with Instinct Properties.
